The English Language
We’ve witnessed a relatively steep decline of the use of the English language. It appears many are often not re-reading their post before they submit, nor appear to care about the coherence of their writing. We’re not grammar-gorillas, however as to maintain a certain intellectual level I’m afraid we will need to reemphasize our forum guidelines. If you were to read our rules (of which you should have already, cough), the before last clause states the following, “This is a message board, not an AOL chatroom. As such, you have all the time necessary to articulate your posts in a coherent matter. "You" is only two more letters than "u", it won't kill you to type them. Completely illegible posts are subject to moderation - and I can't guarantee their accuracy of 'translating' the authors original message, if you get my drift.”
Therefore, posts that severely distort the English language will be deleted (and not necessarily PM’ed about it, as the process may be too cumbersome to undertake). Remember, we understand that this is not meant to be a doctorial thesis assistance board and sentence structure and grammar should not be a priority. However, I believe it is understandable to expect members to write “you” instead of “u”, to write coherently and not necessarily phonetically. All we ask is for members to take their time and revise their posts.
Remember, it is for the good of the forum.
